If you're looking for a healthy snack, try nuts. Nuts are a healthful snack full of beneficial fats. 

You may eat almonds or cashews when you're hungry, but a new study suggests eating walnuts to stay healthy as you age. 

In the Coronary Artery Risk Development in Young Adults Study, 3,023 participants ages 18 to 30. 

Were asked about their eating habits at the beginning, after seven years, & after 20 years. 

Participants averaged 3/4 ounce of walnuts each day. Participants got physical & clinical assessments for 30 years. 

When the researchers looked at the participants' long-term health, they found that those who ate walnuts as children had a healthier diet, were more active, were less likely to develop heart disease. 

Walnut eaters have a unique body phenotype that carries other positive health impacts including better diet quality.
