The Always Eat After 7 PM has been crucial to debunking a few of the diet myths I’ve believed from other diets I’ve tried and breaking down a few of my own personal food issues.

My original goal was to lose 10 pounds, gain energy, and eat healthier. My diet and lifestyle goals are outlined in my first post. I haven't lost all 10 pounds, but I'm excited to reach my goal in a week or two.

Everything I hated about dieting and weight loss is gone! I want a diet that can become a lifestyle so I don't revert to bad eating habits. I've tried diets lasting three days to a month, but none included a Lifestyle phase. Joel's approach includes an Always Eat After 7 pm lifestyle.

Wellness Goals

I started the "Always Eat After 7pm" diet a few weeks ago to get more energy. I love that this diet allows carbs. We're told to avoid carbs, eat early, and not eat before bed. Latest scientific research shows this earlier model isn't ideal.

The Recipes

While one of the huge perks of this diet are the delicious sweet treats, I am really more of a savory person. I love cheesy, salty, carby foods. So you may not be surprised that my favorite recipe so far is the cheesy ground beef skillet. 

A few other favorites have been; Turkey And Bacon Goulash, Honey Garlic Pork Loin, and One-Pan Garlic Roasted Salmon and Broccoli. The recipes were easy to make, filling, packed with nutrients, and my husband and son also loved them!

A few of the things I really love about the book are the easy-to-follow meal planning, provided food lists, and recipe ideas. It really lays the foundation to be successful as I move into the lifestyle phase.
