Ancient Greeks ate plakous, a flatbread with herbs, onion, cheese, & garlic. 

In the ancient Mediterranean world, flatbreads like focaccia, Greek pitta, lepinja in the Balkans, & manakish in the Levant are mentioned. 

Virgil's Aeneid, books 3 & 4, mention something similar pizza around 19 BC. Celaeno, the Greek Harpy queen, said the Trojans wouldn't find rest until they ate.
