Vitamin C is a necessary component for immune system function, bodily tissue maintenance, & other benefits. Women should take 70 mg of vitamin C daily, while males should take 96 mg.

Known as Barbados cherries, West Indian cherries, or wild crepe myrtles, acerola cherries are strong in vitamin C. This strange dish is common enough to make the list.
